Setting an Intelligent Equalizer on Car Stereo, Hurts Ears...? Hello, I have a JVC in dash car stereo. When I first installed it 3 years ago it really hurt my ears at first. It has an intelligent equalizer which gives you a ton of setting combinations as to how your player could sound. I remember it took me about 3 weeks of tweeking in order to get a setting I could stand to listen to. Well, last week my car battery went dead and I lost my sound settings. Now it's back to where I was 3 years ago. My ears hurt and they feel full of pressure when my cd player is on. I can't seem to remember how the equalizer was set. The options are: Low Level, Low Width, Low Frequency; Mid Level Mid Width and High Level, High Frequency. It also has an option for Loud On or Off. It's driving me crazy cause I loved the sound of my player once I got things tweeked and I can't seem to get it back. Does anyone no anything about sound or car stereos or equalizers that could give me some advice or info on how to have a nice sound? Thanks!
How much oil goes into the manufacture of a new car? I'm interested in buying a new, fuel-efficient hybrid like a Honda Insight, but I'm concerned about how many barrels of oil go into the manufacturing process. It might be better to stick with my older, paid-off, 20 mpg car in terms of petroleum if the manufacture is very oil-intensive. I tried looking this up, so let's here what you have to say! (intelligent answers, please)
How many pounds in your car , equals one mpg savings? Just wondering if anybody knows or has an intelligent guess of how many pounds in your car equal to every one mpg (mile per gallon).... ? It would be cool if i had a formula to calculate how much i expect to spend when i add weight to my trips. I assume maybe Truckers might be of help? I would think extra weight would be the same loss of mpg regardless of the type of vehicle. but lets say a 2003 Chevy Avalanch. highway driving. ac on
How do you make a self propelled car? I need intelligent answers please (Pre-AP Physics). I've done this experiment in the 4th grade unfortunately I don't remember...please and thank you! (My partner and I were thinking about using a 2 liter bottle, rubber band chain, and a propeller...wheels and axle will be decided later) - Car must go a distance of 1meter - You may not purchase kits -NO CHEMICAL REACTIONS (only stored mechanical energy)
What is so smart about the smart car? Its either made by Chrysler or Mercedes Benz but they're tiny little cars made out of plastic I think. Somebody please tell me what is so smart about a car that only gets 40 mpg (crap for how small it is). Acclerates like crap, would probably kill you instantly if you were in a wreck, (what is their to protect you?). Is highly likely to get run over by a car changing lanes. And has no room for more than two passengers or any groceries. I keep seeing one of these things putting up and down my street, what the heck is so intelligent about it?
Girl Has a serious car question. Please help intelligent guys/girls.? I recently had a Geo tracker given to me as a gift from my parents. It is a 1993 manual transmission. It does not start. When you turn it over, the lights/radio, etc work but it makes no sound as far as starting. No clicking or whining. Just the dash lights come on, radio, dome light and stuff. Could it be the starter? She said they recently had the selenoid replaced, but not the starter. Any thoughts....? (dumb girl who needs male intervention or smart girl intervention) Could it be anything else that you all can think of? I greatly appreciate your thoughts.
Good affordable car to work on? I am a 16 year old kid looking for a user-friendly car to sup up. I am looking preferably for a stick shift coup that is under $6000. I am intelligent enough to work on engines and I want the car to work on as a hobby. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.
Would I make a good car salesman? I'm not a sleeze-ball by any means. I am an honest person, and I don't enjoy lying, and I certainly am never out to cheat anyone. I generally respect people, and find that most people take to liking me. I am a very intelligent person, and I work hard. However, I am a bit quiet. I don't do the small-talk well and most of the time I don't speak unless I am spoken to first. I would say that I am pretty normal looking and I dress properly. I have good manners and all. Do you think that someone on the quiet side could be successful on a car lot? Do you think I need that edge of attacking a sale at the expense of a customer to be successful, or can a quiet honest guy get the job done? Thanks.
How come it took so long for humans to think of a car? It takes 1000's and 1000's of years for them to think up these things yet in the past 100 years it seems like 'most of it' happened. For instance, car , tv, computer, space ... Before that how come no one hardly ever thought of anything? How could in 1000's of years no one think of a CAR. And they say man invented the 'wheel', i cant imagine how one could not think of inventing the wheel. Was 'man' less intelligent in the past or has he became smarter the past 100 years?
how can you really tell if a person is intelligent? to be honest, i dont think there is a such thing as intelligence. think about it ,whenever people see a doctor they are like oh you must be smart. but how exactly is that true. his main knowledge is in one area(SCIENCE). so if you are a dr and you have no clue about computers or cars. does that still make you intelligent? what about a person who is articulate? just cause a person speaks well doesnt make him intelligent? shoot, they could have a 10th grade education.
How much would you pay for a 1997 Honda Prelude? I bought a 1997 Honda Prelude last year. It's red and in great condition. 1997 was the first year of their latest body style which stopped being produced in 2001. I have a feeling that I'll be able to get more out of it then what I paid for it since they are so rare and seem to be very popular. It just went over 100,000 miles. I'm not telling how much I paid for it. So how much would you pay for this car? Intelligent answers please... I'm glad I don't plan on selling it for a while because I actually paid $8,000 for it and see them being sold for even more. You people are cheap! Just kidding, it's good to be stubborn when buying a car. Keep up the good work.
What is the best Nascar message board website? Someplace where I can have intelligent conversation's about car setups, engine combinations, driver's, crew chiefs etc. etc. without a bunch of 8 year olds asking how they pee, if Gordon's gay etc. etc. I've reached level 5. Im done with YA. Thanks to anyone that actually answers this with a serious answer! Did summer school let out early today?
Where can i learn more about cars? Not the parts or anything, but more about different models and makes. Right now I barely know anything and would like to gain information so I can have intelligent input on the new car we're going to get.
Are there any jobs for highly intelligent people without a college diploma to prove it? Not boasting, but I have a lot of information in my skull. I have a knowledge base covering: World history, U.S. History, Science, Geography, Current events, Music and Musicians, Movies and Actors, Automobiles (mechanical and general), Politics, economics, I speak some Spanish. Basically I can keep up with most any conversation I walk into without steering off subject. I'm particularly good at understanding: abstract concepts, governing principles and systems. I have tons of great ideas. Usually combining my knowledge of one subject with another, but I’m poor so they just collect dust. I have a strong vocabulary. I Draw well and paint moderately well. I can fix most anything wrong with your car. I can answer most any general knowledge question. I type like the wind. I can research a subject quickly and thoroughly using; internet, library, phone book, text books. I understand social/economic trends. I’m fit and I know some jiu-jitsu. I'm sure I'm leaving something out My skills don't collect dust. I'm always working on them. It's my ideas that collect dust. Buisiness ideas, product ideas things like that. I've had two inventions hit that market that I had thought of first, but I couldn't develop them because I didn't have the means.
How can you tell when Jeff Gordon is going to say something intelligent? He starts out with "Earnhardt once said ......" What is the difference between Jeff Gordons car and a porcupine? On a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside! Gordon walks into the shop and both of his ears are all bandaged up. Rick says, "What happened to your ears?" Wonderboy says, "Yesterday I was ironing my shirt when the phone rang and I answered the iron." Rick says, "Well, that explains one ear, but what happened to your other ear?" Gordon says, "Well, jeez, I had to call the doctor." GORDON IN JAIL! Jeff Gordon was arrested last night for trespassing and breaking and entering. He was picked up on the floor of DEI Motorsports. When reached for comment, Gordon said, "I just wanted to finally get a look at the FRONT of one of Junior's cars!" These jokes are in no way meant to be taken seriously, but if you are one of those stuck up Gordon fans with no sense of humor than too bad. twolipsgordon.com
Looking for intelligent people to correspond with. Can you help? I am tired of talking to my husband about cars, lowriders, video games and poker. I like cooking, reading, tattoos and piercings and intelligent conversations. Anybody out there into any of this stuff? I am not insinuating that the things my husband likes are not intelligent. Am just looking for people with interests more similar to my own.
Looking for a jap "sports car" under 18 grand, any suggestions? I’m turning 16 and I have 11,000 cash saved. I’m looking for a Japanese sports car. I was looking at an impreza or a lancer. But used imprezas are way up there, or there crappy with 100,000 miles. I could go on what I don’t like about lancers forever. I’m just looking for suggestions and maybe some explanations. And im pretty intelligent with anything that has to do with cars, just need some pointers. And I dont care that the car has 4 doors and isnt considered a "sports car".

Do the Germans continue to be intelligent to this day? I just asked a question about the great German developments. Although my question was limited to weapons development but being a ChE myself I know the Germans have contributed extensively to Chemistry and other sciences. I also know that the largest chemical company in the world (BASF) is German. I know that the Germans make the best cars in the world. My mother is a huge fan of Mercedes. You guys rock. OK. My question is do you (Germans) continue to work on developing new products that will benefit society in general or are you content with your contribution to society? I am like surprised that you guys were so capable and smart.
