Whats a good cheap hybrid car for my first car?
I'm buying a car, and wanna know what you guys would recommend as a first one I want a hybrid, if not, something with a good mpg rating and all that. But since I saved the money, and there isn't much, I need one could be sold for a good price if used (like a honda) Something safe, and doesn't use too much gas. My question may not have made sense but if you read it enough with different inflections in your voice and you might eventually get it..

- I just bought the 2008 honda accord. Not only is it the stylish car but no one on the streets has it so it makes you feel like the "one in a million".It isn't a hybrid but it acts like one with a smooth ride.
- LOOK AT THE HONDA CIVIC, VERY RELIABLE , GOOD GAS MILEAGE AND A GOOD RESALE VALUE.
- the question made sense the first time around - Forget the hybrid they are over rated. Your not going to get anywhere near 60 MPG in any of them. Your better of looking for a small 2 door 4 cylinder car with a 5 speed stick shift - or 4 cylinder 2 door with a overdrive automatic. Either way your looking at around 30-45MPG About what a 30,000.00 prius will get.
- Honda Fit. Don't buy hybrid. Honda Fit with gas cost less than hybrid with gas at least 7 years.
- A brand new Scion xD or Honda fit are great choices. Both come stuffed with equipment. Especially the xD. Also, if you want a used car, check out the Corolla or Civic. Right now, American small cars (Focus/Cobalt) are having huge rebates also.
- Go with the cobalt 25 City MPG, 35 Highway MPG Can get a striped down model for about $7000 brand new or more loaded in LT'S for about $13,000 or so.
- There's really no such thing as a cheap hybrid. Hybrids keep their value very well, so even used ones are quite expensive. If you're looking at new cars, then the best options are probably the Toyota Prius, Toyota Yaris, Ford Focus, Honda Fit, Kia Rio, or Honda Civic. Check out the Yahoo Autos top 100 green cars list for prices, mileage efficiency, and green rating: http://autos.yahoo.com/green_center-top100/;_ylt=AuS3WclopWI2LTOHSdqB_ilqJNIF;_ylv=3 The Prius will of course cost more than the other cars, but if you're going to make monthly payments, the gas savings can make up for the higher monthly payments, so keep that in mind. If you're looking at used cars, then you have even more options. An older Honda Civic, for example, will probably get very good mileage (especially the hatchback versions) and not cost too much. Or something similar like a Toyota Corolla.
