- Right around 45mph....that is what auto makers use as their "highway" when they say how many miles per gallon highway the car gets
- anything over 60 miles per hour and youll be getting worse mph, but dont bog it down either, try to keep your rpm's around 2000
- It depends mostly on the vehicle, gearing and engine. You want the lowest possible RPM's at the highest speed while keeping the torque converter locked which is usually over 45MPH.
- Zero. Especially if you also turn off the engine.
- Thirty five if you have to go somewhere, in the highest gear. This may be hard on the engine, most certainly on a up grade.
- 110mph
- anywhere between 1,000 and 2,000 rpms. my biggest gas hog(98 dodge dakota 5.2 v8) gets the best mpg at about 55mph thats around 1500-1,800rpm.
- Drive in the top gear between 35 and 75 MPH and find the point at which your RPM will not go any lower or bog. Optimal is about 2000 RPM.
