Is there an alternative fuel that has Isotope with Boronic and Vanadium composites?

I am faced with dilemma to ration and stretch fuel the homemade way to get a 95 octane for environmental restraints and Federal Guideline constrictions.

  1. no. There are plenty of hypes going on with boron. In the 1950's, Boron containing compounds were used to increase octane number. It was discontinued for a cheaper and more effective octane booster called tetra-ethyle lead. This compound also plated on the valves and allowed the use of cheaper materials in building engines. Now, people claim by using boron compounds in lube oils you can increase mileage. Well, maybe, but using a lower viscosity oil will do the same. Most engines built today use a 5w oil which works and is recommended by the engine maker. Also, synthetic oils will do well and do not void warranties. Will the makers of the boron additives back up their product if your engines is ruined? I
  2. Unless you have an SR-71 blackbird (if you did I'd be jealous) you really don't want to be putting Boron compounds in your engine. If you need a specified octane rating just buy petrol that is pre-mixed to octane rating (probably premium unleaded) and don't muck around with aftermarket junk that either doesn't work or is massively over-priced.
